Locator: JO10PX History of ON0VTIAbout 20 years (so that would be the time I was born), the city of Tielt wanted a repeater. Due to lack of good management and interest it never saw the air, till January 22nd 2006!
Frank Vandevelde, ON6VDV had a spare Kenwood repeater module with all the other hardware necessary to build a fully operational repeater. But as a single person it's not possible to get a licence for a repeater. So he contacted me if it would be possible for the radio club Tielt to take care of the license.
Of course who wouldn't be happy with such proposal? Project
So Stefaan, ON3BND had the job to take care of the repeater for his last years project.
Now the repeater is more or less fully operational including rogerbeep, emergency power, ... and this al in the range of 70km diameter.
